Rubber Labels - PVC Label and Silicone Labels
Using PVC labels, Rubber labels and silicone labels and patches can enhance the look of your clothing and other products and add a new dimension in the look and feel. Rubber materials are used for their durability, longevity and color soundness. We have produced PVC and Silicone labels not only for apparel and footwear companies but also to the automobile and packaging industries.
PVC labels and patches are perfect for jeans, jackets, bags, footwear and other accessories, which usually need more unique brand identification methods than just woven labels.
Rubber labels, PVC labels and silicone labels and patches are excellent in expressing vivid colors with a 3D effect. You can also create your own key chains using these types of flexible material.
Other PVC highlights include:
-Custom die cut shapes
-3D effect using customized depth and height
-Customized sewing channels for easy sewing
-3M reflective patches
PVC is short for Polyvinyl Chloride and is one of the most commonly used synthetic materials around the world. To make PVC soft and bendable, plasticizers are added to the mix. PVC is also recyclable, but is not as environmentally friendly to produce as Silicone is.
Silicone is a synthetic material that has low toxicity and low chemical reactivity. If you are making baby products and want PVC labels or need rubber labels, Silicone is recommended. Silicone is more expensive than PVC, so talk to a sales rep about which product would fit your needs better.
The easiest way to apply rubber Labels is to sew them on. Most seamstresses and manufacturers will have needles that can easily sew PVC labels or Silicone labels on. A sewing channel called a "stitch ditch" runs around the perimeter of the label to make for easy sewing.
You can also apply rubber labels by heat adhesive or sticker adhesive. Heat adhesive might not be available for all applications, so ask a sales rep for more information about PVC labels or rubber labels.
Another option is to use a heat welding machine. A thermo compression binds the silicone label with your garment, so there is no sewing or adhesive involved. We can also heat weld the silicone on a piece of fabric for you as well.
A mold is created for each design and PVC or Silicone is injected into each custom mold. Mold fees are added to each price.
Mold fee prices range depending on artwork and material. The molds are big and bulky, so after 6 months, the factory will melt them down to re-use. If you re-order within 6 months, you will not have the pay the mold fee again.
