There is no quality difference; only difference is in the method of application.Hot peels can be peeled off while still hot while cold peel needs to be cooled off before peeling off the velum. Please consult your manufacturer for details and review our heat transfer application instruction.PVC or Silicone heat transfer labels are always cold peel. PVC & Silicone Label
There is no set up charge, but we have to make a mold for your three dimensional label. Mold charges depend on the size of your label and it typically starts at $150.
The mold charge is for the service of making the mold into 3D CAD graphics and not the actual physical mold itself.Molds are held for 12 months since your last order. As molds are recycled after 12 months, re-orders placed after 12 months incur another mold fee.
Both PVC and Silicone patches and labels belong to the rubber material category. They look almost identical in appearance but there are a few key differences:
1. Silicone is made with more environment-friendly chemical material than PVC.
2. Silicone has more elasticity and flexibility than PVC. PVC can be harder than Silicone.
3. Silicone is more expensive than PVC.
4. Silicone patches are more heat and cold resistant than PVC and more durable long term.
5. Silicone is more tolerant of ultraviolet light and ozone, thus better if your label will be used in outdoor products.
Also, the hardness of PVC patches can be adjusted if you specify in advance. The default hardness is soft and flexible where it can be sewn on to a product. Ask your sales rep for general samples to be sent to you so you can test them out on your garments.Silicone labels tend to be softer and more flexible than PVC labels
Yes! Everything is custom-made so you let us know your vision and we can help you make it a reality.
